What is GPeriodic? GPeriodic is a periodic table application for Linux. It allows you to browse through a periodic table of the elements, and view detailed information on each of the elements. 118 elements are currently listed. Thu Apr 5 12:54:37 EDT 2001 - A development release of gperiodic [1.3.0] is now available. This version starts a data abstraction plan, introduces new command line switches for retreiving data, and an interactive shell. Wed Apr 4 14:14:31 EDT 2001 - A new version of gperiodic is now available 1.2.6a. This fixes a bug in the build where the po/Makefile wasn't getting rebuilt properly. Thu Jul 13 09:58:20 EDT 2000 - A new section has been added to discuss the future of GPeriodic. This will eventualy include what's in development, new or desired features or additional information, and potential related applications. Tue Mar 7 09:18:18 EST 2000 - Apparently there is now a full Dutch translation, that doesn't use the GNU gettext library. Myckel Habets has provided the full translation of GPeriodic, and made it available here. Wed Sep 8 10:14:50 EDT 1999 - Version 1.2.6 now includes support for Italian thanks to Ambrogio Oliva. You can download it from the ftp area. Thu Jul 29 12:18:05 EDT 1999 - Version 1.2.5 is avilable in the usual place. This version adds Dutch support provided by: Koen Kooi. Thu Jul 22 16:36:50 EDT 1999 - Version 1.2.4 has been prepareed. It's available in both source tar file and RPM, both from the download area. Chagnes include enhanced German translations, and portability changes. Fri Jul 16 08:48:43 EDT 1999 - I was just dropped a note by one of the the members of the Stampede Linux distribution that GPeriodic will become part of it!
